The noises sounded angry but should have been used a lot less, because it ended up more funny sounding than angry. The fire effects and using the sword made the video intense and affective.
You started out strong with the opening shot and first fighting section. The sword section had it's moments but there were times when you seemed to get tired. Cut out the parts that don't work. It should have built with intensity as the video progressed but instead it seemed to follow the linear timeline of how you shot it and you got tired. I also think that the sounds should have changed with each section. It was smart to bookend the same shot at the beginning and end. The flames were a nice visual effect. The location you chose is important. Remember the mise-en-scene. Everything in the frame means something. This is the wrong location. There is too much clutter that has nothing to do with the emotion. There's also a flower border on the wall. This does not say anger. You are the designer of everything in the frame.
I think having more of a story and telling us WHY you're so angry would help as well as finding a way to transition the sounds together.
ReplyDeleteGreat Video!! I liked the way you corporate flames in the video showing anger. Nice jobs!
ReplyDeletezooming in and out was interesting to show the anger within oneself
ReplyDeletei definitely got anger from that. Maybe use more shots from different angles.
ReplyDeleteDefinately straight forward with a nice continuous shot and re-use of vocal recordings. the fire is a nice unique addition.

ReplyDeleteThis was pretty hilarious, and so disturbing, great mix with your audio and placement and just how unconventional it was. Very original
ReplyDeleteFirst thing that popped into my head. You sound like a race car dude. XD That's awesome! Perhaps you could show different angles?
ReplyDeleteLoved the extreme close-up shots, and the audio. Maybe a few more shots to mix it up.
ReplyDeleteIt was more than able to get the angry feel across, though the angry yelling in a repetitive loop did get old fast.
